All the competitiors and Zarraffa's Coffee Founder and Managing Director - Kenton CampbellA busy and nerve racking weekend was had by all nine competitors who poured their hearts out for the judges on Sunday 15th August at the finals of the ZBC and ZLAC. Congratulations to all the barista’s who competed on the day and thank you to the Franchisees, friends and family who came along in support.

Return judge, Greg Heath, General Manager of Da Vinci Gourmet was blown away by the standard of competitors in this year’s competition, saying that the competitors really stepped up from 2009 (where he was also a guest judge) and they will continue to do so next year.

The scores in both the ZBC and ZLAC where close between all the finalists, but on the day there can only be one champion!

Congratulations to:

Gemma Boxsell, Upper Coomera – 2010 ZBC Champion

Leon Holdsworth, Robina – 2010 ZBC Runner-Up

Phillip Roggeveen, Robina – 2010 ZLAC Champion

Clancey Abel, Robina – 2010 ZLAC Runner-Up

Gemma, Leon and Phillip will now go on to represent Zarraffa’s Coffee in the

Queensland state heat of the National Barista and Latte Art Competitions. All nine competitors have been offered the opportunity to attend a master class at the Zarraffa’s Coffee Head Office where they will have the opportunity to learn from the best barista’s in Australia, including guest judge Scott Callaghan, current Australian Barista Champion.

Thank you once again to all the competitors and spectators that helped to make the 2010 Zarraffa’s Barista and Latte Art Competitions the best to date!
